Commissioner warns of potential fuel shortage.

The Commissioner for Energy, the Dane Dan Jørgensen, said yesterday that "... hope is not a strategy," regarding the supply of hydrocarbons in the EU and the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to that official, it is "too early to say when we will return to a normal situation," adding that even if this happens shortly, the situation is very serious because the damage caused to energy infrastructure in the Persian Gulf, especially in Qatar, will take years to recover.
